Freezone license FAQ
Here are a few of the common ones that we get, along with answers to the questions. Contact us if any of your questions are not answered here.
1. Who can I sponsor under a UAE Family Visa?
You can sponsor your spouse, children (sons up to age 25, daughters until marriage), and in some cases, parents or stepchildren if specific requirements are met.
2. What is the minimum salary requirement to sponsor a family?
Generally, a minimum monthly salary of AED 4,000 (or AED 3,000 + housing) is required to sponsor a spouse and children. Sponsoring parents requires a higher income.
3. Is a separate visa required for each family member?
Yes. Each family member will receive their own residency visa and Emirates ID.
4. Can my family members work or study in the UAE under this visa?
They can study, and adults may work if they obtain a valid UAE work permit sponsored by an employer.
5. How long does the process take?
With the proper documents, the process typically takes 2–3 weeks from application to Emirates ID issuance.
